Physical Therapy
Physical therapists (PTs) are highly-educated, licensed health care professionals who can help patients reduce pain and improve or restore mobility. PTs examine each individual and develop a plan, using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. State licensure is required in each state in which a physical therapist practices.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists (OT's) help people across the lifespan participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities. Occupational therapy includes comprehensive evaluation of the client’s home, recommendations for adaptive equipment and training in its use, and guidance and education for family members and caregivers.
Speech-Language Pathology
Speech therapists assess, diagnose, treat and help to prevent disorders related to speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing and fluency.
